‘I aim to become a real expert in my field’
‘After studying International Business Administration, I was looking for an international organisation with a solid reputation and a powerful cultural identity. But my main aim was to find a company that focussed on the people who worked there and on knowledge. I can now say that I have found the company that fully fits the bill.
I joined Jones Lang LaSalle a few weeks ago as a trainee in the Research & Consultancy Department. Jones Lang LaSalle is a real investor in people. Both professional development and personal development are key parts of the trainee programme. The programme focuses on on-the-job training through close cooperation with experienced colleagues and direct involvement in projects. The knowledge factor is a fundamental part of the programme.
Within Research & Consultancy my work involves doing the groundwork for what are often major property decisions. I primarily advise corporate clients or organisations whose core business does not involve property. The advice I offer concentrates mainly on issues relating to company premises and property policy. My aim is to find the added value in company premises. I examine how a company’s accommodation can best match its corporate processes. It’s all about maximising the operational and financial result. To do my job well, I really need to get to know the client’s situation. That’s something that really appeals to me.
Jones Lang LaSalle has an open corporate culture that creates a really enjoyable working environment. The people have a real passion for the business and that also provides an added incentive to do well. I can learn a lot and acquire a lot of knowledge here. I aim to become a real expert in my field!’
