‘Working in other countries really broadens your horizons’
After studying architecture at Delft University of Technology I joined Jones Lang LaSalle as a property consultant in 2002. I’ve worked in the Haaglanden region right from the outset. My job is amazingly varied. I have been Associate Director since May 2007, which is a position that indicates that you have acquired the necessary experience on the property market. I work together with five colleagues on the Hague office market – I am their manager. In order to qualify as an Associate Director, you have to both write and present a case study, which is then assessed by the management board.
As part of the Associate Director Development Programme, I was sent to the UK for three training sessions. That was really interesting, because you meet and talk to people from all over Europe and it really broadens your horizons. The fact that Jones Lang LaSalle is so international is a welcome addition to the day-to-day work. And the more you get to know the organisation, the more important these international aspects become. There are also opportunities for working abroad. The company offers real potential in that area.
Another thing that makes working at Jones Lang LaSalle so interesting is the large number of clients. Major international companies recognise the benefits of working with a company that can advise them on accommodation issues abroad. The property services offered by Jones Lang LaSalle are provided by a team of qualified all-round property consultants.
